holiday announcement! (ang aga naman!)

the malacanang already announced the working and non working holidays for the year 2009 as early as today. ain't we just came from a 12 days vacation last december. oh well, sabagay, that was last year and year 2009 holidays is something to look forward to! i'm sure. we need a break to recharge our energy afterall. so, here are the list of our holidays! we can now schedule our trip!

Maundy Thursday (April 9)

Good Friday (April 10)

Araw ng Kagitingan (April 6)

Labor Day (May 1) - friday - meaning long weekend

Independence Day (June 12) - friday- long weekend again!

National Heroes Day (August 31) - monday- long weekend na naman!

Bonifacio Day (November 30)- monday- need to say more?

Rizal Day (December 30) - monday!

Special working holidays include: Ninoy Aquino Day (August 21), All Saints Day (November 1) and New Year’s Eve (December 31). November 2 and December 24 were also added as special non-working days.

As for the celebration of Eid’l Fitr (end of Ramadan), President Arroyo said the holiday will be based from the Islamic calendar or the lunar calendar.

hhmmn....medyo umiksi ang vacation for the december. last year we had a straight 12 days (for others 13 pa nga).
and how come the usual edsa celebration for the month of February was not declared?
